Geocache Description:

This cache was part of the now archived "Hopewell Big Woods Challenge" and is located in a seldom visited parcel of SGL43.

Not a long hike.. but it can be an intense one. Your GPS can guide you, but look ahead and plan accordingly. Park in any of the SGL 43 lots or pull offs along Harmonyville Road that suit your fancy. Closer may not be better depending on the route you choose and whether you prefer rocks, briars, or open woods. The Clayjar link which weights steep hills and trailless hiking heavily puts this at a 4. The early finders seem to be having an easy time of it so I'm calling it a 3.5. Keeping your head up, and watching for the best route, can make it a pleasant walk, but there are ways to make it seem like "Stately Tree Junior" if you aren't careful.
Depending on where you park, you may stumble upon the remains of the old schoolhouse. Not much left now but some disturbed ground, as the locals carted off most of the stone foundation in the late 60s and early 70s. I never saw the building, only the foundation. JAScott remembers the ruins, but not whether the building itself was frame or stone.
