Geocache Description:

Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky here in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains are considered to be the "Bible Belt"...

Many of the local country churches have small congregations, are quaint and friendly, and their structures have a very typical country facade... Many churches here still have double or single door step-up entrances... Some still have a steeple bell tower... Some of the original clapboard structures have been sided or bricked over, but the architecture and design stay the same...

These churches are frequently small in size, though large in stature...

This series of geocaches will focus on these uniquely designed old structures that are as much a part of the communities where they are located today as they were in yesterday...

The best time to visit this geocache is obviously during non-Sunday meeting hours as there will be less traffic in the immediate area...

New cache is blue doted aluminum water bottle with black lid as replaced by a fellow geocacher! Thanks!
