‘Tanks for the Memories’ is a cache placed as a memento of my third tour in this country. This Small Magnetic Altoids tin is on what has to be described as Iraq’s smallest tank. It is a very easy find but it is located within sight of some local muggals on a major road. A wave and a smile are enough to let them know you are there just to look at the little Tank. Be aware that there is a possibility that if you take out a camera to take pictures you will have local muggles appear out of nowhere to be in the photos. They love to have their picture taken. Parking is available at the cache site.

The question everyone asks is ‘what type of tank it is?’ Well, I’m not a tanker, nor do I pretend to be one. But to me it looks similar to a M-22 ‘Locust’ or a TYPE 95 ‘Ha-Go’ Air-born delivered tank. If there is anyone out there that knows more about this please feel free to log in and tell us more.

The cache size is in proportion to the tank: It is a smaller then normal Altiods tin, for a smaller then normal Tank. This cache can be found without getting into the tank, or opening anything up. If you wish to climb on a tank or two, have a look through the tank graveyard located just across the street. Happy caching, and stay safe.
