Geocache Description:


This geocache is 1 of 5 geocaches put out by the state of South Dakota Department of Game, Fish, and Parks throughout Lewis & Clark Recreation Area located near Yankton, SD. Please take the time to find all five caches! Lewis and Clark Recreation Area was established in the early sixties and is currently a Recreation Area that holds activities for all ages located on the banks of Lewis and Clark Lake on the Missouri River. Some of the activities available at Lewis and Clark Recreation Area include a 9 hole disc golf course, horse shoes, biking on a 6 mile paved trail, 4 miles of hiking trail, 28 target NFAA approved archery course, swimming, resort, and full service marina. Lewis and Clark Recreation Area has 366 campsites and 15 rustic camping cabins available for an overnight or weekend stay. These five caches will take you along for the ride from one end of the park to the other. Enjoy the scenic views and one challenging hike that will end in an overlook of the majestic Missouri River Bluffs.
You are looking for a 30 cal. ammo can. It contains lots of SWAG furnished by SDGF&P. We ask that you trade items so there will be items for future geocachers.
