Geocache Description:

A cache placed near yet another lesser known historical marker.

When the District of Columbia was first surveyed and laid out, it formed a square, with the boundary lines marked by 40 stones laid 1 mile apart. All but one of these stones still survive, although many were moved slightly, or are now on land that was ceded back to Virginia. This cache is very near the site of the only missing stone, at marker NE1. A bronze plaque has been placed where the stone once stood. Once you finish your search, just look down at the ground to find and read the plaque. For more info check out Boundary Stones

You are looking for a button nano, hidden in plain sight. Stealth is necessary when the nearby businesses are open. You can find drinks, nourishment, and restrooms nearest to the plaque location. The business owner is aware of the cache’s existence.

Update, 10/26/08: Because of many DNFs, I'm adding a strong hint. Please only use if needed, as it will give it away.
