HISTOIRE de la Ligne Maginot et de la casemate concernée:
La Ligne Maginot (du nom de l'homme politique André Maginot) est une ligne de fortifications et de défense construite par la France le long de ses frontières avec l'Allemagne et l'Italie, durant l'entre-deux-guerres.
Le terme Ligne Maginot désigne parfois le système entier, mais souvent, il désigne uniquement les défenses contre l'Allemagne.
Le gros ouvrage du Galgenberg, situé dans la forêt de Cattenom avait comme mission principale de couvrir la vallée de la Moselle. Il était sous les ordres du Capitaine Guillaume de la Teyssonière.
REGLES et RECOMMENDATIONS pour effectuer cette cache:
Cette cache est située près d'une casemate et donc sur un terrain où la guerre fit rage!
Faites donc attention aux fils barbelé, aux barres et pointes de fer!
Certaines casemates sont ouvertes. Si vous décidez d'y entrer, ce sera à vos propres risques et périls!
La CACHE:
Rechercher une boîte en plastique.
Il s'agit d'un Multi-Cache que vous pouvez pratiquer en voiture ou à pied. Restez sur les chemins.
1° Les coordonnées de départ sont celles données en haut.
2° Rendez vous au WP1 où vous trouverez dans une boîte de film les coordonnées N du WP Final.
3° Rendez vous au WP2 où vous trouverez dans une boîte de film les coordonnées E du WP Final.
4° Au WP Final vous trouverez les coordonnées de la cache.
Vous pouvez choisir de faire le multi en voiture ou à pied mais sachez que certaines routes sont privées et que parfois la gendarmerie patrouille...

HISTORY of the Maginot Line and the Bunker nearby:
The Maginot Line, named after French minister of defense André Maginot, was a line of concrete fortifications, tank obstacles, artillery casemates, machine gun posts, and other defenses, which France constructed along its borders with Germany and Italy, in the light of experience from World War I, and in the run-up to World War II.
The "gros ouvrage du Galgenberg" is situated in the woods of Cattenom and it had for mission to protect the valley of the Moselle. It was commanded by Captain Guillaume de la Teyssonière.
RULES and RECOMMANDATIONS to do this cache:
This cache is located near a bunker. In other words on a ground where war was held!
Be aware of the barbed wire, iron bars and points!
Some bunkers are open. In case you decide to go inside of one of them it will be at your own risk!
The CACHE:
Look for a small plastic box.
This is a Multi-Cache which you can do by car or by foot. Stay on the paths.
1° The starting coordinates are given above.
2° Go to WP1 where you will find, in a 35mm film-canister the northern coordinates of the WP Final.
3° Now go to WP2 where you will find, in a 35mm film-canister, the eastern coordinates of the WP Final.
4° At WP Final you will find the coordinates of the cache.
You can choose to make the multi by car or by foot but be aware that some roads are private and that there are some police patrolls ...
