The Green Wheel circles the city with primary and national cycle network routes radiating out from the city centre. The outer ring of the Green Wheel is 45 miles long and it is a great way to keep fit or burn some calories while having fun and taking in the fantastic scenery. The Green Wheel will take you to the historic fens and rolling countryside nearby that is unique to Peterborough. You can thread your way through the picturesque scenery, delightful woodlands, tranquil nature reserves and stop off at a country pub for food and refreshments as you wish.
The £11 million project was 50% funded by the National Lottery through the Millennium Commission, matched by contributions from public and private businesses and voluntary organisation.
The Green Wheel series of caches is either on, or close to, the outer circle, the ‘spokes’ or National Cycle Network (NCN) routes
Enjoy!
Right alongside the Green Wheel, this micro is on the edge of the village of Etton....and not far from a good pint of beer!
A 1 litre lock-n-lock box with room for swaps.
Please make sure the cache is hidden out of sight. PLEASE BRING A PEN!
