A tribute to Emergency Professionals, this cache is located on a quaint greenway park in northern Mecklenburg County. An easy walk to get to the general area of the cache, but a little tricky to locate it.
Our first cache! Placed to honor EMS, Fire and Police professionals, this cache is located on the Torrence Creek Greenway in Northern Mecklenburg County. About a 1/2 mile walk from Bradford Hill Drive (the easiest parking spot to access) the cache is located very close to the trail. The cache is now a small ammo can container and was started with Matchbox replicas of the apparatus that these everyday heroes use to do their job. Attached to one of the replicas is a travelbug; hopefully the FTF will check out the bug site and start it towards its mission.
Clues to the cache location:
-Located closer to the trail than you might think, but you must get off the trail to see the location. Go west but look east.
-The cache is literally right under foot.
-In keeping with the theme, emergency responders must often reach into the darkness to find those they are out to rescue, to find this cache, you, too, must reach a bit into the darkness to pull it from it hiding place.
Keep an eye out for Muggles... this cache has disappeared once, already!
Good Luck and Happy Caching!
