Located in the beautiful Queenstown Gardens, close to a memorial to Captain Scott of the Antarctic.
The Scott expedition left from Dunedin which is on the Eastern Side of the South Island of NZ. As to why this memorial is placed in Queenstown I do not know!... Queenstown Gardens is home to a frisbee golf course, ice skating, tennis and bowls as well as a lovely rose garden, well worth a meander through. While there you could also do the caches, Frisbee Golf (GC228W7) and the Earth cache (Glacial Erratic - GC2176E). The cache (Accuracy 5m, elevation 322m) is a 200ml camo-painted Sistema container. **We have put these caches out for you to enjoy and we love hearing your stories but as a reminder, all good cachers should BYO pen in case the pen has been taken from the cache container. TeamCacheventures has adopted these Geocaches and will now regularity maintain them. We hope you enjoy all the caches located in Queenstown!
