In Machimoodus State Park, off the Lower Vista Trail.
Machimoodus is the Indian word for the famous "Moodus Noises", strange audible rumblings that are seismic in origin and that figure prominently in Native American lore. The noises, described as similar to distant thunder or cannon fire, were likely caused by earthquakes otherwise too small to notice.
Machimoodus State Park is located on Rt. 151 in Moodus. There are several caches located in the park along a 2.25 mile loop trail.
You are looking for a camoed lock-n-lock box hidden off the Lower Vista trail on the way to the lower scenic overlook of the Salmon and Connecticut Rivers.
