Puppy Luv - Dipper and the rest Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LyleVB: On a social distancing day trip to the dog park, I figured I should check on this one. As the last two to hunt for this one said, there is now a dirt bike path through here and a lot of stuff has been cleaned out. This one had a good run, but I'm letting it go and opening it up for a new cache.

Geocache Description:

Another cache from the Puppy Luv seed cache in Clinton. It's a decon canister.

This one was a tough choice as to whom to make it a tribute. As most of you probably don't know, my wife is a veterinarian. Boy, have we had (and still have) many pets. Over the last 28 years we've had, at various times, a total of four dogs, three cats, three snakes, two birds, a rabbit, a turtle, a hedgehog, and an iguana, not to mention fish, crabs, rats, hamsters, and gerbils that I've lost count of. Right now we still have the three cats, one dog, two snakes, two birds, the turtle and the rabbit. What kind of pets did I have before we were married? None.

But anyway, I chose to name this one after Dipper. She was a rescued greyhound racer and was with us for 10 years. She passed away last fall and we still miss her terribly. She would go geocaching with us sometimes, but didn't have a lot of stamina. Contrary to what most people think, greyhounds are kind of lazy. A short burst of speed, and then rest. But they do make wonderful pets.

Good luck on this hunt.
