Nice rock "look-out" at Neika, rough for last 66m, 550m ASL
Danger Island: Well, there's cliffs and hakea's and loose rocks.
Further along the track are some classic and quite poisonous toadstools (Amanita muscaria)under the pine trees in Autumn (see the gallery). Interestingly, but disturbingly, according to Wikipedia "it appears to have formed new associations with southern beech (Nothofagus) in Tasmania" and is displacing native species.
Best to park at the start of the Pipe Line Track. (Near a sharp bend). Walk up bitumen track, then take a sharp right hand turn at the signpost. Leave the dirt track at the blue "daleks" and scramble up to the cache (some 66m from the track). At the cache you can see the top of chimney pot hill and some of the valley. You can also see almost straight down to the road some 80m below.
Cache is 1l Sistema, camo-ed with snakes, hand-blasters and a small book on Aboriginal Place Names.
