Geocache Description:

Cache is an ammo box about 50m from the road in urban bushland.

Commence your walk at an information sign S 16 deg 55.082, E 145 deg 44.844.

This cache is available as a pick up and drop off point for Travel Bugs and Geocoins.

This cache is sited on an urban nature reserve. It is part of a series of reserves titled the Central Cairns Swamp. However this site is not swampy and lies in a slightly higher tract of closed woodland on a sand ridge, hence the name "High and Dry".

The Cairns Central Swamp is an important conservation resource within the central Cairns area. It is an 80 -hectare discontinuous ecosystem of urban bushland and wetlands that stretch in pockets from Edge Hill to Parramatta Park.
