Bakar Reloaded Traditional Cache
Nikrmana: Unfortunately the owner is not responding and the cache is disabled for very long time. There is no option to maintain the cache and no option to enable it as user is not active, thus I am archiving it. I'm also archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

"The eternal flame" of the coking plant is no longer burning / Die "ewige Flamme" der Kokerei brennt nicht mehr / "Vjecna vatra" koksare više ne gori
--------------------------------------
Bakar, a town and port in the north-western part of the Bakar Bay, 15 km southeast of Rijeka; includes the hamlet of Vitasevo. Bakar resembles an amphitheatre; its older part, Grad, is located on slanted slopes and includes the Frankopans' citadel (16th c.), while the newer part of town, Primorje, is located along the coast. In the past, Bakar was an important trade port, as well as a centre of fishing, viniculture, shipbuilding and maritime affairs with nautical school (opened in 1849). Economic decay of Bakar was caused by the development of steamship navigation and, especially, by the construction of the railroad to Rijeka (1873), which by-passed Bakar. The branch line Bakar - Skrljevo was built in 1931. Not far from Bakar a coke plant had been built which destroyed the Bay's ecosystem; the plant was dismantled in 1995. The "eternal flame" was a symbol of the coking plant, because it burned day and night.

Bitte wieder gut tarnen, Muggelgefahr. / Coming from Bakar, a parking place is about 100 m above a cache after a railroad crossing. Be careful of tourists and non-geocachers ;)

Eine Wiederaufnahme der "erloschenen Flamme" an neuer Stelle - This is reloaded "Lapsed Flame" - Cache with a new location - Obnovljeni bakarski cache "Vjecne vatre" koja vise ne gori ;)
