Some 491,648 Norwegians immigrated to North America between 1850 and 1899, and Norwegian government statistics suggest that total migration to this continent from 1825 to 1925 approached 800,000. No other land except Ireland contributed so large a percentage of its people to the new continent.
The Reverand Bersvend Anderson gathered a congregation in this area in 1895. The beginnings of the present city of Camrose. This cache is in his honour.
