This cache is located on the 300 acre restriced use side of Lake Monticello. The Lake is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the fishing is great. Gasoline engine use is not allowed on this side of the lake. Kayaks, canoes or electric trolling motors only.
We placed this cache in honor of all the women and men D.N.R. officers in South Carolina. Thank you for all that you do to protect our State's Natural Resources. Cache is a small waterproof container with a log and small trade items.This cache was hidden by Kayak, however you can get to it by land. It is a .34 mile paddle from the boat landing. At low water levels, you may have to exit your vessel to retrieve cache. If you choose to log this cache by water, you WILL need a shallow draft vessel like a kayak or canoe.
