The cache is hidden along the Khora, the circular prayer path in Dharamsala, which is decorated with paintings on stones and rocks. The walk on the Khora offers spectacular views. The cache was destroyed in 2009, but now placed further away, 500M from the initial site. Thanks to Klabouter77 for the helpful maintenance
Dharamsala is the city in Northern India where the Dalai Lama and the Tibetans sought refuge when they fled their country in 1959. Today, the Dalai Lama lives there and the upper part of the village (McLeod is the official name) hosts several Buddhist temples and a Khora.
The Khora is a circular path decorated with Tibetan paintings on rocks and stones. It is a public footpath and is accessible to everyone, but you need to walk in a clockwise direction. Along the path, there are many prayer mills, little benches to take a rest while you enjoy the view of the valley, and lots of friendly Tibetan people walking by and always happy to have a chat.
The cache initially contained a geocoin called 'the relaxing geocoin', so keep feeding this cache with geocoins.
Also be discrete when retrieving the cache and make sure it is well covered with stones and leaves when you put it back. The monsoon rains are torrential here in July and August, and you don't want the cache to be washed away.
The cache will be maintained by my son (who works there) and my in-laws.
