Nyvångs Gruvmuseum

Gruvmuseet visar gruvarbetarnas historia. Nyvångs gruva startades så sent som 1907, för att utvinna kol.Gruvan utvecklades till den största kolgruvan i Sverige och det var möjligt att via gruvorterna ta sig både till Åstorp och Hyllinge. Vid gruvmuseet ser man den i folkmun kallade "Bunken", som är slaggprodukter från gruvhanteringen och som reser sig cirka 50 m över markytan.

The Museum shows the history of the local Coal Miners. Nyvångs Mine was opened as late as 1907 to extract coal.It expanded to the largest Coal Mine in Sweden and it was possible to go to Åstorp and Hyllinge through the tunnels. At the Museum you can see the locally called "Bunken". an approximately 50 m high heap of slag and other restproducts from the mining.
