Cache in an abandoned and derelict brick factory.
The cache consists of a traditional tupperware-type box containing various trading items and log book.
This cache as the name suggests is located in an abandoned brick factory. The site has been a brick works for well over a hundred years before what was Germany became Poland in 1945. The works were then expanded during the communist period and at the height of socialism around 100 people were employed here. The state-owned factory closed in 1990 and is now abandoned and in complete ruins.
There are few visitors to this site as it is abandoned and located out in the Polish countryside, but, a socialist-era apartment block, built to work workers in the brickworks is closeby and teenagers visit the site sometimes to do whatever it is that teenagers do in such deserted places! :)
As with all caches: please remember to place the cache back where you found it and disguise well.
Warning: This cache is not one for children or the infirm. Do not visit this site if you worry about tripping over obstacles. This is an old brick factory and there are plenty of old bricks and other hidden trip hazards! It's not a particularly scenic location for a cache, but, for anyone interested in seeing something of communist industrial heritage this site and cache is worth visiting. The area has a number of other caches and is a most attractive region.
