Geocache Description:

Cape Henlopen State Park

The Fort Miles Motor Pool cache has been relocated to the Fort Miles Historic Area.

This part of the park is undergoing restoration by the Fort Miles Historic Association. Battery 519 was one of the batteries at the fort during World War II.

Fort Miles is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is a great place to learn about the role of the Delaware shore during World War II.

Entance fees to the State Parks from March 1 to November 30 are $5. for in state and $10. for out of state visitors.
