As you can tell from the name, this series is in the Old Furnace Wildlife Area. This wildlike area contains 1991 acres....so be prepared to return here for future caches.
This area is open for hunting. Access to this cache is allowed on SUNDAYS ONLY from SEPTEMBER 1ST to FEBRUARY 15TH each year, AND during SPRING WILD TURKEY SEASONS. Hunting Season information can be found at WWW.FW.DELAWARE.GOV
Parking coords are: N 38° 39.872 W 075°30.115
These parking coords should be used for the entire Old Furnace: Book 1 series of caches.
As Chapter 2 continues the book, you will have more information revealed and view more of the wildlife area.
ORIGINAL WRITE_UP
A Trailhead starts in the woods at N 38° 39.527 W 075° 30.316 but you will need to find your way there (it's not very far from the Prologue). From the Trailhead you will be walking on a nice path (from a few ft wide to a 15 foot wide old wood's road) except for the last 25 feet where you will have to contend with normal overgrowth (or none if you choose your approach carefully).
The Terrain rating is only for the distance you will have to walk to the cache.
The cache is a green ammo can so you shouldn't need any more clues.
As with any book, you will understand this cache better if you "Read Carefully".

The area has changes so much this chapter HAD to be rewritten....
You will need to meander through the woods from either the Prologue or Chapter 1. As times there are nice deer trails to follow, other times remnants of past trails can be followed and sometimes you need to just choose the path of least resistance.
The cache is a green container.
