Geocache Description:

As you can tell from the name, this series is in the Old Furnace Wildlife Area. This wildlike area contains 1991 acres....so be prepared to return here for future caches.

This area is open for hunting. Access to this cache is allowed on SUNDAYS ONLY from SEPTEMBER 1ST to FEBRUARY 15TH each year, AND during SPRING WILD TURKEY SEASONS. Hunting Season information can be found at WWW.FW.DELAWARE.GOV

If you are doing the Prologue, Chapters 1,2 & 3 you may want to park at N 38° 39.872 W 075°30.115

If you are just doing this cache you may want to park at N 38 38.742, W 75 30.360.

Chapter 3 really gets into the story and into the wildlife area.

Depending on where you park, you will encounter either a nice trail or a path that varies from nice to medium to choose carefully. The Terrain rating is only because of the distance you need to walk to the cache.

Where seas were millions of of years ago, many different types of areas can now be found.....some forests can even be found.

Did evolution cause cartilage fins of a sharks to transform into legs for a land animal as the seas disappeared?

The cache is part of an interesting container. After reading this chapter you will have NO problem figuring out where the cache is from 30 feet away.....and the cache is only 20 feet from a dirt road.
