Geocache Description:

The name of the cache reflects how I felt when I finally got there and what I could see once I'd recovered from oxygen debt.

Cache is a camoed 16 oz peanut butter jar located right at 2000 feet elevation. This is a spot with a great view. It was clear when I was here and I could see at least four peaks including all the way to Mt. St. Helens.

Cache is reachable by either hiking or biking. Either way, take extra water and I would recommend that you take a forest map. See here for details.

I biked up the forest roads, but note that there are a number of pretty steep sections. If you do decide to bike up, I would recommend staying to the right at Waypoint WPT4 (Road 7040) as staying on road 700 makes for an extremely difficult ride (steep with loose gravel).

If you choose to hike up, either take the Extendo Trail and then forest roads the rest of the way or take the Homestead Trail connecting to Road 6021 until you can catch the trail up to McCullock Peak and then follow the forest road from there.

While you're here, head on across the way to the Take a McCulloch Peak cache. There's a great view there as well.

Parking can be found at the end of Oak Creek Road.

This cache has been placed with the permission of the management of OSU's McDonald Forest. Please respect all of the rules of the forest. There is absolutely no bushwacking required to access this cache. Please stay on authorized roads and trails at all times during your visit.
