Geocache Description:

At the entrance to a nice trail system.

As we were heading to the coast for an event the next day we saw this place and knew that there were no other caches anywhere near here. So, we got out and hiked back until we were turned back from a swampy area with a ton of skunk cabbage in full bloom. In the Summer you can take this trail system further in without the worry of the swampiness that is there during the Spring months. This is also an access trail to the river for a great place to fish when the salmon are running through here. Please pack out anything you take in there if you decide to go back to the fishing hole. But as far as the cache goes, it is more like a place to stretch your legs before you turn on to Hwy.101 from Hwy.18. Just down the road from here used to be a large amusement park called Pixieland. It closed in the late 70's and now you would never even know that it had been there. The area has been turned back to a more natural area for fish habitat. As for the name of the cache goes, it's an inside joke between The Dragon and Team Geogold. Have fun, be safe, and please practice CITO whenever you can.
