Geocache Description:

Fairy Dell ~ a nice woodsy trail leading out to the shoreline.

This is a lovely little trail that follows a stream bed out to the shoreline.

Parking is at the back side of Battle Point Park and the small gravel lot is labeled as parking for Battlepoint Park and Fairy Dell. These same parking coordinates work well for the Bunny Run cache in Battle Point Park.

Access to the trail is across the street from the parking area. Cross the street and walk up just a short distance. You will see a small blue sign indicating shoreline access. This is the start of the trail. There is no need to walk on or through any of the private yards. Some yards do back up to Fairy Dell, but this is a public trail.

The trail is narrow but well-defined. It is muddy in spots, please be careful! On my way back from placing this cache I slid on the mud and landed flat on my back on the trail (with my two year old on top of me). PLEASE be careful if you are on the trail in the rainy season!

This is a fun little trail with a few small wooden bridges that cross the creek bed. My children really enjoy this trail and I hope yours will too. The cache is a camo'd lock n lock and is within reach of the trail--no need to leave the trail at all. Please rehide the cache as well or better than you find it. There is tree cover here, but my GPSr said it was accurate to 12 feet at the cache site. If you choose to trade items, please remember to trade even or trade up!
