Geocache Description:

First of a series in our home town with room for small trade items. DON'T FORGET TO LOG YOUR FIRE SAFETY TIP! WRITE IT DOWN NOW SO YOU DON'T FORGET!

This is our first cache so what other place to do it than our little town of Sherwood? As we approach our 100th cache, I wanted to plant a few around the trails and parks in our town. The city has taken the time to plan its growth with great care and instead of tons of tract homes bunched in together (well, I guess they are in some places), they have established a series of walking paths and green spaces that can take you from one end of town to the other without spending much time on the streets. It reminds us of Sunriver but obviously not as much sun and a little more greenspace! There are lots of fun things happening at different times of the year here like festivals, cruise ins and more.
About the cache:
You're looking for a small, 4x6 tupperware container that has been covered with camo tape and hidden just off the paved trail. Trees may make your gps bounce around a little bit, but using geo senses will take you right to it. If you get better coordinates, don't hesitate to let me know. This particular location should put you out of main viewing from the houses near the trail, but watch for muggles on nice days. The trails are open 24 hours but I suggest using good sense and doing this during the daytime only.
To start it off, I put in a few keychains, some firefighter badges for the kids, pedometer for the FTF, a Ram Explorers II geocoin and of course the recently acquired, "Help Smokey Prevent Wildfires" Travel Bug. No serious bushwacking required! CITO

Logging your find:
There's always a catch, isn't there? When you go online, log your favorite fire safety tip so others can stay safe.
Happy hunting!
