Geocache Description:

The Municipality of Headingley, and the Holy Trinity Anglican Church owe their names to a group of parishioners in Headingley, Leeds, England, who attended - you guessed it - the Holy Trinity Church, and who felt called to start a mission in the Northwest Territory of Canada. In 1853, land was acquired from the Hudson Bay Company, and in 1854, the first church building was erected. In later years the church was moved further from the river, and it now stands on the Trans-Canada Hwy at Bridge Road. This cemetery was established in 1862, and a walk through will give you some history of the people who settled this area. Notably, the Honourable Alexander Murray, who served the area in the legislature for many years, and at one point was Speaker of the House is interred here.

The cache container is a 35 mm film canister. It is not necessary to enter the cemetery to find the cache. The container only has a logbook and an FTF certificate. Bring your own writing stick.
