Kendal Town Council is the third tier of Local Government for Kendal, equivalent to a Parish. To the west of the town a high limestone ridge rises to 230m - Scout Scar. To the east is Benson Knott at 317m. Neither of these quite make it into the boundary of the Town. The line cuts across just before the old race course below Scout Scar, near Bradley Field, at a height of 140m.
To the east the boundary includes Oxenholme but not the Helm. It runs north-east past The Park, before joining Hayclose Lane at Windy Hill. It then follows the high road of Paddy Lane past Singleton Park Farm. After this the road drops and the boundary line heads back down towards Morrisons retail park.
The highest spot is just before Singleton Park Farm, two summits on the road are just over 200m and probably the northerly one is slightly higher. The cache is just before the summit - a good hiding spot being the higher priority than geographic accuracy.
The cache is on the east side of the road at the base of a tree. It is quite well hidden. Please be careful where you park as it is a narrow road and watch out for traffic when searching. This cache can be combined with Spindle Woods - GC1B93J using the footpath just north of the farm. You could also log a visit to the nearby summit waymark: WM3FW6
Please re-hide well and ensure the lid is properly on!
