Geocache Description:

This geocache is located along the foot trail that begins at the Cedar Ridge Picnic Area. From the parking area walk west southwest to the trailhead.

The Trekker Princess and the Littlest Trekker named this geocache Chicken Log because they thought the decaying logs looked like shredded chicken meat (like pulled pork).

This geocache is placed as part of the 2008 Geocaching Adventure, a geocaching game placed by Michigan Geocaching Organization (MiGO) members as a tribute to the Metroparks Geocaching Adventure series. In order to complete the 2008 Geocaching Adventure, you will need to find the 11 geocaches hidden in 11 different Metroparks (full list). At each geocache obtain the keyword or phrase to enter into a puzzle found in the brochure. The brochure is available at the Huron-Clinton Metroparks web site. The geocaches will be in place from May through December 2008.

A geocacher picnic will be held at Huron Meadows Metropark on September 13, 2008. Watch the Geocaching.com website for more details.

This geocache is located within Huron Meadows Metropark, a part of the Huron-Clinton Metropark system. The park is open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, April through November 3; 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM November 4 through March. A Metropark vehicle entry permit is required: annual permit $20, senior permit $12, daily permit $4. The Metropark may be closed on certain days for deer management programs typically in the fall; please call ahead for closure information on the day of your visit. This geocache was stocked with a good amount of trade items. Please trade fairly for other geocachers. Travel bugs and geocoins are welcome.

The container is a rectangular, clear, Lock & Lock box with some camouflage Duck Tape strategically placed.
