Geocache Description:

The Spiderwick cache ideas are taken from “The Spiderwick Chronicles” books by Tony DiTerlizzi & Holly Black. After reading these books we decided to hide some caches along this theme. We had a lot of fun looking for cache locations that match the story.

You may know the Grace kids well,
but there is still much tale to tell…
Like, who’d dare live within a stream
beneath a bridge where dark thoughts teem?
And where’d your loose tooth really go?
To a friend? Or to a foe?
Keep on reading, and you will know.

Griffin Troll

This cache is a 2 Stage Multi-Cache. You will find the coordinates for Stage 2 once you escape the Troll hiding at the above coordinates. On the way to Stage 2 look for the “Griffin” nest high up in a tree to the West. The area where the Cache is hidden seems to be a bit of a GPSr black hole, I have added some cards with Letterbox style instructions for getting from the Troll to the Cache.

Each cache in the Spiderwick Series will have 2 clues printed on cards in with the logbooks. Feel free to take a card, please let me know if the cards are running low. Please replace the cache exactly how you found it. It has been muggled a couple times!

Remember, this is a Difficulty 4, even the Troll House! If you can't find the cache with the hint provided feel free to email me at groovyowl@gmail.com. It will come to my phone. If you include your cell phone number I can text you hints from wherever I am, otherwise I will reply from my computer the next time I am home. You can request a small, med or large hint.
