Just when you thought you knew the Gold and Tweed Coasts like the back of your hand, you suddenly realise that there is a whole new world waiting to be explored on your doorstep. I actually came across this spot while trying to get somewhere else, and was pleasantly surprised by the scenery and location. I couldn't resist the opportunity to come back and place a cache.
To get to the cache, just park on the road (but leave enough room for cars to pass if one comes by). I was there for a good 30 minutes and there were no cars that went past. When you see this place, you'll know why! You'll then need to scramble up the edge of the cutting and into the trees. Please try to minimise your impact on the ground when going up to the cache and coming back from it. Tread lightly, and don't step on any vegetation. Also, please try to minimise erosion by taking as few steps as possible when going up the bank.
Cache is a regular ammo can, and contains a few small swaps. I don't think anyone would accidently stumble across it, but please be sure to cover it again just in case! I hope you enjoy this cache and the amazing area around it.
Oh, and yes, that is a 'beware of cattle' warning - sometimes they wander onto the road and surround cars...
