Welcome back to Poland Forest. This is my favorite
place to spend an afternoon, or evening. There are plenty of
photo opportunities, so make sure you bring your camera.
While placing this cache I was keyed up to see a Pileated
Woodpecker pounding it’s head on a tree. If you watch you may
get lucky enough to spot one of the deer that call the forest their
home. I have seen herons, raccoons, deer, squirrels, duck,
and many small and large residents. I wanted to put this
cache here to bring you to this enormous fallen tree. It has
been down for a long time, and I can only imagine what it sounded
like crashing through the trees. There are many trails through the
forest, so after you find the cache take some time and go
exploring. In the spring the Blue Bells are just south of
this cache, and on the way to Close To The Path, another one of my
Poland Forest
caches.
The cache container is a
3” X 4” clear lock and lock container, large enough to place small
Travel Bugs or Geocoins. Please make sure you put it back
exactly as you found it or it will defiantly get
muggled.
I am giving this terrain
a rating of 3 ½ because of the last fifty feet. If you look
you may find a less difficult rout to the
cache.
The difficulty level is
because I feel that’s what it deserves. I debated over the 3
½ over 3, but I think the 3 ½ is fair. This isn’t going to be
a simple cache and dash, so be prepared to spend a little time
searching. Again please put this cache back exactly as you
found it.
I recommend using some
stealth while looking for this cache because there’s as many
muggles as deer here.
