You will go down a very small drive. There is a grassy entrance on
the right to the cemetery where you should be able to park with no
difficulty.

SH - Cook Cemetery

This original name of this cememtery is reportedly to be
Frank Family Cemetery after a family from Germany.

What You Shouldn't Do
You should not go past the "Private Property, No Trespassing" signs for Eintracht unless you absolutely have to.
If you really need to enter their large parking lot, stick close to the cemetery.

About Cook Cemetery
This VERY old tiny cemetery is part of the property belonging to the resident living next to it.
According to the landowner, one of the dozen or so graves dates back to 1812 from people who had died on the nearby canal which is on the Eintracht Singing Club's private property.
The earliest burials were said to be without a casket or box.
At least 3 of the 12 or so graves were also said to be those of children.
The few gravestones left with visible dates, date back to 1855, 1859 and 1865.

How I Found Cook Cemetery
I discovered this place many years ago by pure luck, looking for a place to use my other favorite electronic device (my Metal Detector).

Remember to be respectful of the cemetery and be mindful of the nearby residents.

The cache has no pen or pencil so ..........

Good Luck, Be Careful
and most of all Have Fun

The “SH” in the cache name above signifies a Spirit Hunt, a project by the Miami Valley Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens.
This cache is part of that series created by MVG members to highlight cemeteries in the area.
