This is a standard .30 cal ammo box located just off the
Peak-Pomaria portion of the Palmetto Trail. This portion of the
trail is an old RR ROW so it's quite flat, however it is not paved
and you must hike/bike to the cache which is just under 1 mile down
the trail. The trail itself is moderately packed gravel for the
most part. You don't need to climb over, under, around or otherwise
through the nearby fence to find this cache. The cache is just off
the trail. Note that if you're going during the summer you'll
definately want some bug spray.
I hope you enjoy this section of the Palmetto Trail and if
you're quiet enough, you'll likely see some wildlife. The original
contents include a "Things to Do in SC", a pre-made and ready to
hide micro-cache container, a few children's toys, and a Columbia
PD pencil.
