BIG ASS GARAGE
SALE
Well, that’s an old toaster, it just needs a cord.
And there’s a full set of coasters, if there was only one more.
But that’s a brand new barbeque, it’s my brother Pete’s
...when he bought it he for-got that, he doesn’t eat
meat!!
And it’s a big ass garage sale, at a quarter to ten.
No early birds ‘cause, we’re sleepin’ in!
Our mama’s in prison, we’re tryin’ to raise her bail.
We’re sellin’ her things off and it’s a Big Ass Garage Sale
There’s a car out back, it just needs a motor,
and a couple a doors and a full set of rotors.
But it used to run good, it had a whole lotta heart!
And the beautiful thing is, we got another one for parts!

IT'S A BIG ASS GARAGE SALE!
This is a song by Canadian singer/songwriter,
Fred Eaglesmith. I first heard Fred (and this song) on a radio show
(TV also, where available) "Mountain Stage", hosted by Larry Groce,
and live from "The Mountain State of" West Virginia. The show
generally has 2 guests, sometimes well-known, sometimes somewhat
obscure
...like Fred Eaglesmith!
Fred has a "different take" on life, with which I instantly
related!
His songs are often played on XM Satellite Radio, channel 12, if
you'd like to listen.
When this cache was placed, I was looking for a place spotted on
Google Earth. Unfortunately, the coords were not on, and, I had
been bushwhacking for a time, about .4 from my last trail. I had a
good idea where I had to go, but was tired, hot, and out of
ambition...so I found a place with a good view
(well, at least before the trees bloom and block some of the
sights!) for this cache to call home.
Once I started heading back, and checked my gps, a main trail was
within .1 miles or so.
All was not lost as another great cache hide location was found on
the trek out !
(see "Watchin' the Detectives",
GC1BC27).
Enjoy!
