Geocache Description:

Cache is located on the what used to be the Sedbergh-Kendal road before the main A road/motorway was built.

Further on the road also runs by Killington Lake (or reservoir) which supplies the Lancaster Canal. A small dam about 10 km downstream near Crooklands diverts water into the canal.

The road is now mainly used by locals as access to Killington Motorway Services on the M6 southbound. This cache can be easily combined with GC12454 Motorway Mayhem 'Killington Services' as a nice walk or drive close by.

The cache is a small tupperware box with enough room for small items and trackables.

Please be careful when parking and walking on this road, there are no road markings so keep well into the side and hold onto children and pets. Also there is a hawthorn bush very close to the cache so please wear appropriate clothing and watch out!
