On Southport Island, on the Boothbay Region Land Trust's Hendricks Head Hiking Trail.
Take Route 27 to the monument by the Southport General Store, bear to the right of the monument, down the hill, left onto Beach Road. Drive by the trail sign on the right, park at the small but lovely public beach.
This is now a small Lock 'n Lock container. with a variety of ocean related items. It has been muggled twice, two ammo cans taken plus the contents the first time. So it probably isn't a good place to leave TB or coins. Please trade in "theme" if possible.
Finish the trail, then go back to enjoy the beach. Here you can picnic, swim (if you like cold water), launch a canoe or kayak or just beachcomb and enjoy the view. It's lovely at sunset too with the lighthouses blinking. I think this is one of the best spots in the entire Region. If you feel like a longer walk, go up Salt Pond Road, keep bearing right and in about 35 minutes you'll be back at the beach.
This cache has been placed with the permission of the Boothbay Region Land Trust. They have many beautiful properties for the enjoyment of the public and there are caches on most of them.
Warning: the GPS was a bit jumpy under the trees so be sure to bring the hints for this one, just in case.
