Welcome to one of the newest parks on the Yaquina River. It is especially designed for kayak and canoe traffic but it’s also a nice public place to eat lunch and watch the river ebb and flow. Yes, the ocean tides reach beyond Toledo, some 12 miles (and 60 minutes later) from the mouth of the river at Newport. Savvy river travelers schedule their canoe trips to let the tides do some of the work.
The cache is a 6” plastic container with log and a pencil. There may be muggles about, so use stealth. The resident host is aware of the cache.
