Geocache Description:

Groby Pool is situated on the southern edge of the Charnwood Forest and is reputedly the largest natural expanse of open water in Leicestershire covering 38 acres (15 hectares). It provides a rich habitat for wildlife and was notified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1956.
It is a popular and delightful spot to go and feed the ducks for an hour so don't forget to bring your bread with you!
The route to the cache from the parking area is mainly level even though it can get a bit muddy as you approach the cache site. There is one very short stretch along the road where there is no footpath available, so please take care especially if you have small children or pets with you.
Parking is available in the car park at 52 40.005N 001 13.479W although due to previous problems with groups of itinerants, it is presently only open at the weekend.
An alternative during the week is to park close to the church in Groby village at 52 39.830N 001 13.721W and walk down the footpath alongside the grave yard, go under the A50 before turning right on a path that takes you across the fields to Groby Pool. (about a ten minute stroll to the Pool)
The cache is located close to a public footpath and there is no need to cross any fences as you reach the cache location.
