An easy park and grab. Use the turn around for parking so you don't have to park on the side of the road.
The gator that lives in this pond generally prefers the sunny bank by the fallen tree. I have seen it in the grass near the parking area. Please don't harass this WILD animal. It is against the law to feed them. You should keep in mind that aligators can out run man for 50 to 100 yds. They are capable of very quick bursts of speed. During mating and hatching season (spring) they are more aggresive if you pester them. All this having been said if you keep your distance they will peacefully lay there for your photos. Pet lovers NEVER take your dog near any freshwater pond on the Island.
The cache container is a clear round medium rubber maid container that is 6 inches tall and 4 inches across. The first two caches at this location were stolen so please be sure to cover the same as you find. There are quite a few people that walk the banks of this pond fishing, so PLEASE take care.
