Riverside Park Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

FobesMan: Stopped by tonight with a new container with plans to reactivate this. Got the container ready, droppedd in some cool swag and walked back into the woods to rehide the cache to find.... A young homeless couple in the throws of passion... Given previous reports and now my own experience I have decided to give this spot up to those that need it more. another cacher can might like to hide something here as not bad if you avoid the wooded area used by squaters. Thanks to all that stopped by...

Geocache Description:

A small park on the corner of Everett Ave & E Grand Ave with no view of the river.

I first saw this park while riding my bike and thought it would be a nice place for a cache. I was surprised to learn that other than a couple of JB mystery caches whose finals are quite a ways away there were no caches here. I decided that it needed one if only to show others what a crappy view it has for a park.
The park itself is nice enough with a dedicated sign and a couple of park benches but if you sit on the benches your only view is going to be of a lumber yard.

The river is nowhere in sight so I am at a loss as to how the park was named.

As for the cache, I placed it when there were no leaves on the tress and so, although I am confident my coordinates are good, it might be hard to get a good reading. The area the cache is in is close to the side of a hill but not on it and there were some pricklies around hence a terrain rating of two. The spot the cache is hidden in is well gaurded from the muggle houses across the street but please be stealthy enough not to give the spot away and as always please hide it well.

As always, thanks for taking the time to look for one of my caches.

Congratulations to Rey del Roble for the FTF
