This cache is between Seaside and Astoria in the 165 acre
Cullaby Lake County Park, placed with the County's permission. It's
a great park with lots of trails and things to explore.
There's a couple ways to get to the cache site. The first is to
follow the signs and park in the main lot. There's a $3 fee, so if
you're going this route you'll want to pack a picnic and make a day
of it. From the main parking area you'll need to follow the gravel
trail until you get close to the old race track.
If you're in a hurry there's a free parking area just south of
the weigh station on 101 and about 100 feet north of Anderson Road
that will get you within 1000' of the cache.
This area obviously used to be a race track but I can't find any
info on it. If anybody knows its history please let me know and
I'll update the page.
You will have to do a little bushwacking to get to this one, but
the elk have already done most of the work - you just have to find
their trail.
New container is now a regular size ammo box.
And because I don't understand the mysteries of HTML, if you
click on the "User's Web Page" link up top, it'll take you to the
County's Cullaby Lake webpage.
