Perhaps we will remember some of our history lessons today. Placed in honor of our 1700th find so we wanted to go back to the 1700s for this cache too.
This monument to James Monroe was placed here to honor the birthplace of James Monroe. His Mother returned to her family home in Westmoreland county to birth this future President of the US. She did not want to have the child in "The wilds of Orange County."
To locate the cache fill in the following information which you will find on the monument and/or the Historical marker which is at the posted coordinates. The actual cache is within 350 feet of the information.
