This site has been chosen for the 2nd in the Sign & Go series. It will afford you time to have a stretch, change of driver or a quick cuppa before you tackle searching for caches in Toowoomba.
This cache has been placed on the uphill side of the Warrego Highway in the area commonly known as the "Saddle". The Saddle is in between the 2 steep climbs of the Toowoomba Range. In years gone by it was common for motor vehicles to "boil" coming up the range and this site was often used as a site for the vehicle to "cool down".
There is a "Welcome to Toowoomba" sign and a picnic table available. Sitting at the table affords you a view of kinds - mostly the traffic heading up and down the range.
Ample parking is available on the uphill side of the highway to the left. Access from the downhill side of the range road is easy as there is a turn area at this point.
