Geocache Description:

90% of all traffic entering the beautiful historic town of Tenby for the first time will come past this spot. The cache is intended to be a quick cacher's welcome. It is accessible from the pavement and there is free parking across the road.

This is not intended to be a difficult cache - just a 'quicky' to welcome you to the town. Please replace it carefully and with stealth (to avoid arousing suspicion) exactly where you find it.

As around a quarter million visitors will pass this spot each Summer there is a fair chance that this cache will be accessed frequently. It also means that there is an added element of excitement in "Muggle dodging" !! It has minimal contents but do use the stop off to get your bearings and look at your map to identify the way to your destination car park, hotel, beach, activity or campsite.

Alternatively if you are walking from Tenby you may like to take in another cache en route back into town. You have two alternatives:
WALK 1
Walk on the main road out of Tenby. Turn right when the pavement runs out after about 200 yards(metres) into Sperricomb Lane and follow the bridle path (can be a little muddy when wet) up hill until it becomes a path (do not enter the housing estate or turn off the path). Whilst walking enter the coordinates for "Slippery Back" cache. This route will take you out on to Slippery Back foot and cycle path. Follow this path back downhill to return to Tenby.
WALK 2
For a longer walk .... on the main road continue out of town as in 1 (please walk on right hand side of road for safety when the pavement runs out) and then turn right (right angle turn) after about 600 yards(metres) down the single track road marked "Waterwynch". (Do NOT take the acute angled road marked Cycle Path or you will end up on Walk 1.) At the bottom veer right onto the coast path and visit Waterwynch beach and then continue on coast path back to Tenby. En route you have the opportunity of finding the "Allen's View" cache and visiting the, now somewhat neglected, garden.

Welcome to Dinbych-y-Pysgod!
