Geocache Description:

Cache is an ammo can, located on a small hill. Winter accessibility will depend on snow levels and your determination...

From the high point near this cache, you have a beautiful view of the mountains on a clear day. To the south and east is the Chugach range. To the east and north is the Talkeetna range. To the west is Mt. Sustina. To the north and west is the Alaska range, including Mt. McKinley 110 miles away. The dead trees seen on the way to the cache are reminders of the Miller Reach Fire of 1996, one of Alaska's most destructive wild fires. Martin Buser, an Iditarod champion, has his kennels just down the road. Congrats to hixfromthestix on the FTF. Enjoy the Travel Bug!
