Growing up I was always riveted by the stories of King Arthur. There are so many amazing tales: Arthur as a boy pulling Excalibur out of the stone. Arthur's friend and confidant Merlin, the great wizard. King Arthur and the Knights of the Round table. Morgan Le Fey, Guinevere and Lancelot, the quest for the Holy Grail and the imprisonment of Merlin in the Crystal cave. Just the name Camelot is evocative of all the mystery and intrigue surrounding these legends. And of course the Lady of the Lake. While living in England I took many trips down to Cornwall to see where the famous stories took place. Historians still hotly debate whether King Arthur ever existed. Recently I read an article about an artifact having been found that may have been from Arthur's time. It was the remains of a letter. Some words were not legible, what could be deciphered was "Dear Lancelot, To Camelot godspeed, to see & to hug, I hasten, forsworn xo Guinevere." Whether it is fact or fiction remains to be seen. The legend is still an excellent one!
