Torre Scala 'e Sali La torre, che nasce per l'avvistamento di navi nemiche doveva sorvegliare le spiagge e gli stagni della zona, ma si rivelò ben presto un'opera inutile in quanto il suo campo visivo coincideva con quello delle altre torri della zona. E' in contatto visivo con le torri di Capo Nieddu, di Pittinurri e di Su Puttu a nord e le torri di Sa Mora e di Capo Mannu a sud-ovest. Per raggiungere la torre occorre svoltare, prima di raggiungere la localita "sa rocca tunda" all'incrocio del WP01 in direzione NE e lasciare l'auto al WP02 dopo circa 2,8 km. Attenzione: evitare di salire sulla torre e spostare le pietre della struttura, il cache è posizionato a poca distanza dalla torre.

Torri costiere della Sardegna
Ogni torre è uno scrigno di storia, di avvicendamenti, ma anche di riferimento territoriale e di magisteri costruttivi. Le torri costiere hanno soprattutto funzione di avvistamento, quindi di difesa. Appartengono, pur costruite in un arco temporale di tempo, con forte concentrazione nel periodo di dominazione spagnola, al genio militare. Perciò hanno un carattere sobrio e austero, con tipologie assai ripetitive, considerata la destinazione e le mansioni dei torrieri, che le governavano. I luoghi su cui sorgono si aprono su vasti spazi aperti, su panorami di grande respiro che, indirettamente, donano bellezza a queste costruzioni.

The sighting towers have to be considered as defensive tools. These towers belong to the Spanish domination period, even if they were build in different time periods by the corps of engineers. These towers are characterized by a sober and stark style considered their goals and the office of the people who managed them. The towers are positioned on wide-open spaces, on relaxing landscapes that give beauty to these buildings.
