Situated in The Royal Forest of Dean this park is part of the regeneration of the area, turning a once derelict peace of forest in to a nature reserve. I will not try to bore you with any description of the history etc of the location because there is ample information boards on your way to the cache which I could not hope to equal.
The trail itself is suitable for pushchairs, wheelchair users, children, and people on crutches etc, except for the last few meters which are a bit of a scramble and may need someone more able bodied.
The car park at the start is ideal for cyclist as you can join the main forest cycle trail half way to the cache just follow the signs.
The ducks on the ponds are hungry birds and any kids you bring along would love to satisfy there appetite with a small morsel of bread.
A good time to go for the cache would be at dusk or on a bright moonlit night when there is more chance of seeing the local deer population fox badger or even the elusive wild boar.
The car park coordinates are also where the first clue can be found on the notice board by the height barrier.

This is my first attempt at positioning a cache so any comments (be gentle with your suggestions) would be welcome.
The cache is an airtight plastic lunch box size container with 2008 diary for logging plus various other goodies.
CAUTION
This cache has had to be relocated as in its previous position it was vandalised three times.So would all cachers take care when locating and replacing as the area is very popular with dog walkers etc.
