Geocache Description:

A large ammo can hidden a short bushwhack from a picnic area.

Nebraska has nice big interstate rest areas, most of which have plenty of room for several caches. I thought this one could use another, a roomy container that will be a good drop off for travel bugs.

The cache contains an assortment of the usual stuff

There's a short easy bushwhack into the hiding place with a few easily avoided brambles about. The weeds and grasses get quite high during the summer and the best approach is probably to stay close to the edge of the trees and avoid going directly across the open space or, if there has been any mowing along the exit ramp , go in the shorter grass and cut across when you are directly opposite the cache site. The cache will be an easy find. The raccoons will not drag it away. I didn't collect any ticks when I placed the cache but I'm sure they are there. Mosquitoes can be bad.

The lower part of the rest area is closed but the cache is not in that area. But access for turtle viewing is cut off.

And do take time to read the notes and log for the July 16, 2011 find by Krydos (four parts). A lot goes on around these caches that we don't know about. The local residents lead adventurous lives.
